This scam gets you to say "yes" after a quick mostly inaudible message that you're being recorded then a guy tries to con you into giving him your DOB. I demanded to know immediately what This call was pertaining to, before I would tell him anything, pretty much like a drill Sgt would, and he decided to hang up when I escalated from that level of response. Best way to deal with these scams Every time.

They called my cell and said they wanted to discuss a personal business matter. They wanted me to confirm my name and address (nope), mispronounced my street, wanted me to confirm my number (nope, not before you identify yourself). They said they'd just send a letter and hung up.

I receive at least one voice mail message a day from this number. I have this number blocked, but it bypasses ringing and goes directly to voice mail, so it also bypasses the call block on my phone. All voice mail messages are cut-off and can only hear the smallest bit of information to determine that it is a robocall of some sort.

Unknown Company asking for Personal info (Telemarketer) reported by


They knew my name but refused to tell me who they are (other than "This is Bruce"), the guy would not tell me what company he represented until I gave him my date of birth- I said no and he said I could confirm my address. I again said no and told him to send me something in writing if it is a personal business matter.
