Claimed to be a debt collector and asked for credit card information almost right away. I refused and said I would verify through my insurance (claimed it was a medical related debt) and pay that way if payment was actually needed. The person seemed polite, but I am definitely not giving CC info to some random caller.

She was polite and professional. I asked what this was for. She said she could not tell me unless I verify my personal information. I said I will not do that unless I know what this is for and whom they are calling on behalf. End of conversation.
