As with any call use common sense with providing information but this is Discover calling about a past due bill. If you have a past due bill with Discover then you may want to pay attention. It's not surprising that one part of the company has no idea what another part of the company is doing. Just how it is these days.

Tried to get the last 4 digits of my checking account number. (Scam call) reported by


Said they were from Discover, but I called the number on the back of my Discover card and they said no one had tried to call me. The person at the scam call phone number tried to get my checking account number but I hung up on him.

Comes up as discover but I called my discover card right away and they had nothing in their system and my bill isn’t so. They told me there would have been notes if it was legitimate and to disregard those calls as a precaution.

They called me and left a voicemail that they needed to speak with me about my Discover account. I called the number on the back of my card and the girl I spoke with said there is nothing noted on my account that anyone had called and is more than likely a scam. She said they are required to log outbound calls to customers and would call from 1-800 number not 614.

This number called me five times in the past hour. They call multiple times per day, every day. I did not call the number they left in the message. I called Discover directly at their correct number. They have no record of any calls to me. They informed me that calls would always come from an 800 number, NOT any 614 number. This is a spoofed number, not from Discover, and a scam.

They called me because I missed a payment and used the information I had on file from Discover to help me pay the bill. I came on here to double check in case I needed to call my bank for fraud, then went to the Discover app and saw that the payment had been posted and scheduled as she said. It was a woman from Arizona using a routed line from Ohio, likely from a Discover call center. It was legit, and now I am caught up because I didn't pay attention this month.

Not discover must be a scam. I called discover right after and they saw no notes in the system and said to ignore the calls.
