Ruth from ext 405 calls to offer your Las Vegas marriage license for $77 which you can pay over the phone or online via a link she sends you; however, this is a scam.

Ruth at Ext 405.Charges $77 for marraige lic. $27 on NV website (Scam call) reported by Kyle
Ruth called two times with extension of 405 when you call back you get extension 404 voicemail and she charge $77 for a copy of the marriage license and then official paperwork comes in from the state of Nevada stating that the charge is only $27 and $19 for additional copies.

Had all publicly available information regarding my marriage and wanted to know if I wanted to expedite delivery. I fell for it and gave them my credit card information, but then looked it up after the call and immediately cancelled my card. They called me back later, but I did not answer. Thanks to this site, I was saved some pain.

Ruth left a message for me ( my name is on my VM greeting ) and another name I have never heard of. Told me it was from public records received in their office on 18-MAY. Obviously a scan if they are tossing out a name that has nothing to do with me.

Las Vegas Wedding Certificate Scam (Scam call) reported by Concerned Citizen
They left a Voicemail, described themselves as Ruth with Public Records Services in Las Vegas. Calling about our wedding certificate and asked me to call them back. I checked every official Vegas website and this number is not registered with the city records or marriage offices. I checked and our marriage documents went through fine already days before the call. This is 100% a scam of some kind. The Vegas wedding website actually warns about scam callers calling after the wedding is done. Be careful.
