Chris Bank calling from 702-389-3846 claiming civil action matter (Scam call) reported by


Midwest Publishers trying to collect for a magazine subscription that was 1. refused 5 years ago 2. they tried to debit bank account. 3. Claimed subscription for individual who is disabled 4. Refused to cancel. 5. Bank reversed charges due to fraudulent transaction. Chris Banks claiming to be with Southwest mediation and that he is working pro-bono on a civil suit that can be resolved today. Checked all court dockets in the area, no civil suit filed anywhere.

Got same call from Chris banks for the same reason everyone else has listed. I told him he been reported and he piece of sh**t scammer that is done. He got very angry and said you know what are you for real. Man it was funny listening to him get upset. The number he calling from is 1-702-847-6969. So everyone be aware.

calling me in regards to payments i didnt make when i was 16 for a "subscription for magazines"... if i didnt pay, wouldnt they cancel my magazine subscription, and never here from them again? no loss of anything? where does the civil lawsuit come into it?

Got the same call today, said we signed up for 100s of magazines and only paid for them for 2 months. First of all, where are these magazines? Secondly it's definitely not a legally binding contract to purchase a subscription magazine! They'll try anything these days.

I just got the same exact call. I called Southwest Mediation Service, the phone number I got from there website and found out no one named Chris Banks works there. They told me flat out it was a scam.

I got the same exact phone call. I knew it was a scam by the voicemail Chris B. left. he called a week later and I told him that it was funny him leaving a message and wasting his and my time. The address he said I lived at was incorrect and when i told him I'll see you in court he said this is a serious matter I told him something I probably shouldn't repeat on here and hung up. Then blocked the number.

I literally just hung up w him and he has called twice Chris B. from Southwest mediation and he told me I had a civil suit against me and I are going to take her to court I didn't call him back by 2 p.m. today so I finally called him back he asked me if some bogus numbers with my social and my birthday is soon as I said nope he hung up really quick so I call back and you act like he was talking to some fake Amber person secretary in the background and then proceeded to speak to me again and asked me he thinks he had those socials wrong the last four gave me other random numbers and then hung up on me again this is * somebody needs to call on him before he wants a penny to right numbers with a person and they get screwed
