Got an e-mail stating the company was in South Carolina, but no name of company. Foolishly, I asked name of company. Now "Alex" will not stop writing/calling. He cannot speak or write English very well. Number shows up "Nevada," but this is just a routed line and I suspect he is in India.

As with another commenter here, the Indian accent did not align with the NC business address. So I checked here and have found several other comments. Matt Brown would not sound Indian. Moving on with my SEO search!

Said he was calling form North Carolina, but his accent didn't match up. Could barely understand him. He wanted to know who was in charge of our "info" email address. He said he emailed my company two times. So, I asked him if I requested a phone call from him. He said no. I asked him what business it was of his and again, he mumbled something... very strange.

The number is listed as Nevada but the caller originates in Krishnanagar, India. I know because I lured him into opening one of my websites while he was on the phone and I traced his IP. He claims to be Alex Hall, who is listed on LinkedIn as a young white male from South Carolina - but the caller couldn't even pronounce "Carolina" when introducing himself. He claims to be with a company called TheSEOCompanyUSA - and there's a .com out there with that name... However, "alex" emailed me from the .net version of that domain. I'm not sure whether the .com and .net are both owned by the same individuals, because both domains are hidden behind whois privacy proxies. This concern is further warranted by the fact that the .com has a different area code and phone number listed. The people running the .com may be the victims of impersonation - or it could just be this scammer's method of keeping spam filters from touching his "money site". And that brings me to the final negative point I should mention here - my entire experience with this number originated from a spam email that made it through my filter into my inbox. Out of spite, I replied to it... And that's why he called me. He tried to convince me i should pay him to rebuild one of my top websites. A site that owns position #2 for several very powerful keywords. He then claimed that my site wasn't showing up until page 2 on those keywords. It's a scam, pure and simple, and if you waste your money trying to do business with these people you WILL BE SORRY.

Boy M. you hit it on the head with this scammer. A. H. wanted $400 bucks on a monthly basis to fix our website with SEO Opt. He even gave me a list of happy customers I asked for. He has created a good story. I didn't fall for it. So others watch out this guy barely talks the English language and writes a good story in email.
