Firemen's Assoc of PA (Non-profit Organization) reported by

Spoke to Stan. He was asking for a donation. Needless to say, he hung up on me. I called back and got the same **** and he did thank me for calling me back, but after a few seconds he hung up on me again. I am livid!! I am making a complaint to the Firemen's Association.

Stan would not disclose company/organization calling from. (Scam call) reported by

Tried to call back because it's a local number - seemed to be a recorded message "Hi, this is Stan thank you for calling back." When I asked where he was calling from, he hung up. Sounded like a "canned recorded message"

Wanted a donation for fighfighters (vague) (Unsolicited call) reported by

Hung up on me in a very rude manner when I mentioned I was bankrupt and barely able to feed myself. Tried to call back to explain how unprofessional it is to shame people who simply don't have the means to donate to good causes. At a better point in my life I donated to multiple non profit causes and this individual made me feel like garbage because of circumstances outside of my control. I need to eat, pay the IRS, pay my medical bills, squirrel away cash for gas money. I'm 35 and back living on my parents sofa, depressed and fighting for some independence but I'm getting extra judged by this number who doesn't care that I have nothing to give, already so far in the hole, no thanks for my time or basic human empathy for my situation, just a phone being slammed down lingering in my ear. When I'm back on my feet and able to donate to causes I care about I will return to the trusted organizations I've used before because they treated me like a person not just a check. This place may be legit or it may be a scam but I'm not going to risk it on such an unprofessional approach to raising money.
