younger man w/accent asked me if I wanted a website, (no) asked who I was working with (I stupidly answered) asked me if I knew how to build a website (I said yes) he and a group of people started laughing and hung up. I called back number and received an answering machine and left a msg about "Gabriel" having had called me. it is a landline in California city, California. search google maps and it shows me the exact building. type phone number into search bar. I will not pay to have this number looked into any further but a number of website dev companies come up when it is searched. scam/fraud/harrassment/

I just had the same thing happen to me. They even gave me the email address [email protected] to send the supply list to. When I asked which student they were calling for, they hung up.

Persistant information gatherer (Scam call) reported by

A first call comes in asking you to "Press any digit to continue." When you hang up, it immediately calls back, and a heavily accented man attempts to obtain information about our CISO. This is the fourth time with the same attempt (albeit from different numbers.) Just a reminder not to give out ANY information to these potential information thieves.

I just had a gentleman on the line, "Rahim from Data Services". After I wanted to talk to someone in charge, because he couldn't explain to me why he wanted to ask for all the data, he said nonchalantly that nobody was available at the moment. Then I wanted to talk to somebody from the legal team, and you won't believe it, nobody is available at the moment! Cute little guy, our Rahim.
