I didn't pick up first time. Checked here and I was on the lookout for potential fraudster. When they called again I picked up. Automatic voice asked to validate. Provided wrong info and got denied, provided right zip code and went through, denied that charges were mine and got connected to agent, also checked netbank and saw same fraudulent transactions there. They are replacing my card and reimbursing. Definitely legit.

The voicemail said there was suspicious activity on my account. I couldn't find this number on PNC's site so I reached out on Twitter to their official page and they confirmed it was them. They directed me to call 855-866-7020 for their loss prevention. Apparently an iTunes purchase triggered it somehow.

This number is indeed actually PNC. I called my local branch and had them confirm the number out of caution, since the automated message is very vague and asks for your social. Its safe!

NOT A PNC NUMBER. A SCAM. They left a message with my name and last four on my card. The message sounds real, but it's not. I called the number to see who would pick up. They immediately want you to verify your number and give them your 16-digit card information without verification. Disregard the "positive" reviews and do your own research. Call YOUR bank and report the number.

This number had called multiple times over the last month. It is automated so I hung up and immediately called my bank. This is NOT a PNC related number and reported the number for investigation.

Robo Call, Fake, beware (Scam call) reported by


This number called me stated they were PNC fraud alert. They asked if it was me, asked me for my zip code I hung up and called the real fraud alert number. The bank had no knowledge of calling me or that number. After a short conversation verifying my accounts were safe they thanked me for calling. I screenshotted the number and sent it via email to the bank fraud website. If this number calls you I would be aware and hang up.

I did not answer this call but they left a voicemail with this number. I did not find it on their site initially, but eventually it did link me to fraud services, also both PNC's Twitter and Facebook pages confirmed that the # is legit. I called it, only had to confirm my zip code and phone number in the automated system (they did not ask for any sensitive info), to which they provided me with a few recent transactions that they thought may be fraudulent. Luckily in my case they were not. But the call and phone number are legitimate and safe to answer or call back.

I had two missed calls from this number (I never answer unknown numbers). I looked online to find out who called me, I google it and and I found this page. Since I saw it could be my PNC bank calling for my account I logged in into my PNC app and I called customer service from it with their number. I asked if they recognized the number 1 800-225-5671, indeed they did. Customer service representative looked into my account and found out that Fraud department tried to reach me to asked me about three differents transactions made on November 30th. Someone tried to purchase things for $100, $300 and $600. Glad that they were on top and declined the transactions even tho they couldn't reach me by phone.
