They asked for my birthdate and address in order to tell me any details. I later contacted 5/3rd Bank and the call was, in fact, legit. I was told the information they asked for was normal and that they would never ask for SSN# or account #.

It is not true about asking for your account #. I thought the call was a scam so I called the 800 number on my bank statement and they asked for my account #

Def not true. I spoke with dispute dept and they ensured the number is not registered within their department. Don't give them any information. Fifth Third states they received calls regarding this and they don't call their customers due to privacy.

This number calls me at least 3 times a day. I answered one time and didn't say anything. It was a guy, he said hello like 5 times then said he doesn't hear anyone so he was going to end the call. I blocked it. If I have anything I need to discuss with 5/3 bank I call them. They do not call me. Don't give your info to them.

Yup! Same thing here! I called 5/3 there isn’t an issue with my account and they also said they can’t verify me by my birthdate!!

They claim to be from Fifth Third Bank, but won't tell you why they're calling until you identify yourself. After sternly telling them to not call again, I got an email from Fifth Third saying my contact information was changed. When I logged in I noticed my phone number was changed to all 9's. I then called customer service, and while they couldn't identify this number, they said it could be their collections department. Turns out I pay my auto loan a couple days after the due date and that triggers them to call. I blocked their number.

Calls anywhere from 0-8 times a day, 3-4 times a week. Fifth Third said that is not their number when I asked them directly. Also I don't have an account with them.

Called a couple times earlier, finally answered.. The recorded voice with background music said "thank you for calling 5/3rd, someone will be with you shortly".. then a different recorded voice said, "due to the pandemic, you may be speaking to someone from their home".. then a different voice asked me to continue to hold.. I hung up..
