ace is not Edison they claim they will cut off your power unless you pay your bill with them. too bad they didn't seem to know the power bills are not in my name or that Edison would not have my cell phone number for any reason.

I got a call from a man who said he was from SCE and that my power was going to be turned off today. I immediately knew this was suspicious because he called me on a number that is only used for my side business and said specifically that the power for my business (which is a home biz) would be turned off today. He said I was going to need to make a payment to prevent losing power. I said I was going to call SCE directly because I knew this was a scam. Before I could finish my sentence, he hung up on me. Don't fall for this!!

Edison Technician coming to cut my power off (Scam call) reported by


This number is a scam, they tried to call my place of work and said he is a technician for Edison and he will be by in half an hour to disconnect our electricity. We know we are up to date with our payments but, figured something was off, they gave us a number to call to and stop disconnection of service by making a payment. We called the number the so called "Edison technician" gave us (800)989-0732 Ext. 2, he even gave us a fake work order# 001794613. After my co-worker had been speaking to them for a while and we could not make a payment through the phone. I decided to call the Edison 800# on our bill, i gave the information and everything was up to date. Don't fall for these type of calls from this number, it's a total scam.
