I got the call today, I dialed 2 so they can stop calling me and...I get someone from India who was REALLY rude to me! I called that jerk some nasty names once he said "just hang-up"!

Offered to lower rate of credit card. Told them how do they know if I even have a credit card (I don't), I told the guy "Brian" that I think this is a scam. He became irate and said "who the hell are you to call me a scammer" I laughed and said why you mad then, he told me to "shut up". The number he stated he was calling from wasn't even the same one that showed up on caller ID.

MasterCard Assistance Centre (Scam call) reported by


Promised to lower credit card debt to 0% says Steve Murphy from "Credit Card HQ", then rate was promoted at 0.99%. Said I had to take out a credit card with their company and move my debt to them. Claimed to be calling from 77 King St W., Toronto, ON. Telemarketing company is using spoofed VoIP numbers from the local calling area. Background conversations in Hindu suspecting call actually originated from India.
