Called saying my Visa card was getting lower rates. I asked who they were. He wouldn’t tell me, just started using nasty phrases. He was obviously from India and spoke limited English. But sure knew how to make x rated remarks.

Automated call claiming to be from Visa Card Services. I hung up and checked the phone number. The number is a legit credit card customer service number for Bank of America. I called BofA directly and they confirmed that they had NOT contacted me.

this number indeed is from bank of America. when you call boa customer services, sometime, to avoid long waiting in the phone, boa offers to call you back. the problem is: scammers can fake this phone number. they can call you with computer or some devices, and make the incoming number shown on your caller ID as this number.
