TL/DR: IT’S A SCAM! Details: Got a call from 1-800-945-2000. Caller ID said “Chase Card Services”. I’ve been getting calls from them for the past few months, so I finally answered. It was a robotic recording saying to press 1 to lower my Visa card interest rates or my account would be closed. It made no sense, but I pressed 1 anyway (1st red flag). Then I got some Indian **** on the line (2nd red flag). He said he could see that my interest rate was over 10% and he could lower it to possibly less than 5% forever (3rd red flag). I asked which credit card was he talking about. He said he could lower it for all (4th red flag). Uh ... that makes no sense, ****. So I asked again which one specifically he was calling about. He said, “We deal with all kinds ... Visa, Master Card ...” (5th red flag). I again asked which one he was calling about. He asked how many I had (6th red flag). I said I didn’t know. He asked which one had the highest balance (7th red flag). I said I didn’t know. He told me to go get them (8th red flag). I told him that it was pointless for me to go get them because I wouldn’t be able to tell which one had the highest balance by looking at the dumb piece of plastic. The **** hung up on me (final red flag). THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!
