They called and asked for my name. When I refused to give them my name they told me that they can only speak to the contact person. Realizing that I could of said "This is me" and they would of spilled the beans on the nature of the call, I told them not to call back.

Received a million calls from this number in the past couple weeks, finally answered. Told me my call was being recorded and asked if I could verify that I was *my name* and when I asked what they are calling for they refused to tell me unless I verified my information. No thanks. Bye bye.

A comment below suggests eBay. I agree, as we both have that factor in common. This month, my seller account was put on hold. I'm behind on my invoices and owe them money for selling fees. This is my spare phone, no one has the number. They just started calling yesterday. Since I didn't recognize the number and never get calls, I didn't answer. They did not leave a voicemail. Looks like they are going to call everyday until it's paid. If it really is eBay and the customer service is rude, not forthcoming about who they are + why they're calling that's shady.

The refuse to give you any information on why they are calling. Request that you turn your phone off of speaker and say you're phone call is being recorded.

When they called me I told them to identify what company there with and what type of company it is. They were refusing telling me to give them my name I said I am not interested in a scam and told them never to call me back then hung up the phone and they tried calling right back.
