SO SO SHADY (Scam call) reported by

Our Eye center gets multiple calls from here trying to "verify RX" for some random contacts. The names are NEVER our patients and we would NEVER prescribe these sketchy contacts. We have repeatedly requested for them to remove us from their reference list. We fax, we call and never get a response. It wastes so much of our precious time. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!

ILLEGAL ILLEGAL ILLEGAL (Robocall) reported by

This company is the worst contact lens company. It is a robocall and sometimes the patient information is not even our patient. Even if this is not what our doctor prescribed to a patient they fulfill it anyways, even after we've denied the request by their fax request.

illegal contacts (Telemarketer) reported by

They are selling contacts without a prescription. You can not hear the full name and they are not patients of ours. When you try to call back they never answer the phone so you can verify the name. They should be put out of business. Can NOT believe they haven't been caught yet. DO NOT USE this business!

Hubble Contacts rep directing to listen to a 'recorded message'. (Nuisance call) reported by

Hubble contact lenses rep called to have me listen to a 'recorded message' from the patient. Rep lied when I asked if I would be able to play back the message. 'Recorded message' was a robo message with a name, address, # of lenses requesting in each diopter, material (Methafilcon A), base curve, and diameter. Gave a phone number to call [(844) 462-9275} which goes to a voicemail and a fax number [(844) 203-0723] to send approvals to. Our practice has made up a generic letter stating that the patient is not with us, we do not confirm their Rx and as it is illegal to give CL w/o a Rx all liability falls on them if they choose to do so.

Hubble Contacts!! Called our office more that 15 times. (Scam call) reported by

Hubble Contacts illegally sells contact lenses without a doctor's prescription and calls random offices asking whomever answers the phone to listen to a message. A message that you are unable to understand. I told each person that I spoke with to fax the information to the office. I was told the calls would continue till the message was listen to. I was given the patients name. It turned out that it was not our patient. I told the each different person every time they had the wrong office. They told me I would have to listen to the message to make the calls stop. I told them I would not give then consent for a patient that was not ours. They called back during our lunch time and got our voicemail. A message was left but no verification # was given so we could deny the RX. We did have one of our patients order from Hubble. She wore the lenses for a week. She was in our office with eye pain due to the lenses fitting to tight. Worthless company.

JEFFERSON CARRERA (Scam call) reported by

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. THEY CALL WANTING TO VERIFY CONTACT LENSES PRESCRIPTION BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO REPEAT THE MESSAGE NOR SEND A RESPONSE ABOUT IT. THERE IS NO BIRTH DATE TO VERIFY THE PATIENT AND THE MESSAGES ARE UNINTELLIGIBLE. WHO ORDERS A 360 DEGREE CONTACT LENS? NO ONE! IT'S CALLED A SPHERICAL LENS. AND WHEN I ASKED THE COMPANY REP THEIR NAME ALL HE WOULD SAY WAS VISION ----. NO WAY TO TELL WHAT HE WAS SAYING. I AGREE WITH PREVIOUS STATEMENTS, THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN.

Hubble Contacts Illegal Contact Lens Verification (Robocall) reported by

Hubble Contacts illegally sells contact lenses without a doctor's prescription and calls random offices asking whomever answers the phone to listen to a robo message. The company promises to call you back in 2 business days when you call them back to request that they stop calling (20-30 calls/day), but they never return the call.

hubble contacts. (Unsolicited call) reported by

called our office numerous times in one day. would answer the phone and its just playing music never anything else. then a lady calls which could barely understand, asked us to listen to a message. The message is not clear and asking for contact verification. Never said what type of contacts and gave some odd prescription information. This patient has not been seen for an eye exam since 2015! I did not release info and called the patient to let her know. I had to look up the phone number to find out it was Hubble. Needless to say very unprofessional!

Hubble scam calls (Robocall) reported by

Normally, we have answering machine messages from Hubble that we cannot understand to even attempt to reply back to them. Today, I received a phone call from this number and it was someone telling me that there was a message I needed to listen to from a patient, but I couldn't really understand completely what they were saying. I also could not understand the rx information at all. I've tried to call the number that they tell you to call before, but no one ever returns the call. Most certainly a scam!

Contact lens scam to avoid FDA (Unsolicited call) reported by

Only found out this was Hubble contacts by reverse searching for their "contact person" number. I was asked by a person if I would listen to a phone message from a "patient." I asked why and was told they had to call me (??). So I agreed, with the stipulation that the person stay on the line to clear up any details should the message be unclear. As it turned out the message was almost entirely unclear, but there was something about a 735 rx with a 8.6. At the end the person was NOT on the line, but there was an additional message that if there were questions one could call "Jefferson" at 844.462.9275, or send a fax to 844.203.0723. I called "Jefferson" and got a recorded message that he would try to respond in 24 hours. I believe it's reasonable to assume that by then the company will have already done what they wanted to do with whatever questionable quasi-legal use the "verification" provided them. This company should be brought to the attention of the FDA.

Hubble Contacts (Telemarketer) reported by

This is such a scam. Called with an automated message that you can not understand. When called back left a voicemail to call me again. The person that called back only would give me the patient name to verify the rx. I told her that you could not understand the automated message and she called me stupid and hung up on me. I can't believe that someone that is representing a supposed business would have the nerve to act like that. Also, one checking the patient they called about did not even do a contact lens exam. I don't see how this is even legal.

Scam Contact Lens Request (Scam call) reported by

I am an optician for Walmart. As others have mentioned I to have received a call from this company for a contact lens verification request. I also ran into the same issues reported above being unable to contact back the company and ineligible a message received from this company for the verification. I have left a formal complaint on the FDA website I would recommend everybody do the same if you get this message and are a contact provider. I used Hubble's main website and I recommend you do the same for consistency and bettering the chance the FDA it looks at this complaint.

CL Rx Verification (Call centre) reported by

The Male that started talking fist was hard to hear & understand do to the accent. They played a message that had a partial name of a patient on it then proceed with the the fairness act and that the prescribing doctor must release the copy of the contact lens to us in order to place the order for this patient for 700+ contacts per eye. I will not respond.

Shady Contact Lens RX Verifcation (Telemarketer) reported by

A lady with a thick accent called. She actually called 3 times because I couldn't hear her the first 2. Then she said that I needed to verify a patient's contact lens prescription. I tried to ask questions but each time she said that I need to listen to the recording. I asked her if they repeat the information or how I would be able to verify. She told me she would call me back, which she didn't. I called the number and it said that I would get a call back in the next 2 business days. Not super helpful. I faxed the patient's actual prescription and left a message. I doubt that it matters. I suppose if the patient comes back and reports that he was able to get Hubble lenses, we will have to contact the proper authorities about illegally distributing a medical device.

Hubble Contact Lens Verification (Call centre) reported by

First, the human that initially started talking was VERY hard to understand what she was even saying. I pieced together that they are calling to verify a contact lens RX and they connect you to an automated machine that I could NOT understand at ALL. I did get the phone and fax numbers and contact person of Paul Rogers. So I called back and left a message letting them know that I could not understand what the patients name was to even verify a currenct RX. 5 minutes later a female with again a heavy accent that is hard to understand called back. I asked her point blank what the patients name was which she provided and then she wants me to listen to the automated machine again and fax the info I told her that was CRAZY...the patient was last here in 2012 and why since I told her this did I still have to FAX it???? (I did though because if not they'd probably fill the RX) REDICULOUS!!! Hubble please DO better.......

When answered, it was hard to understand the person on the other end. Finally, it played a contact lens verification request that was absolutely insane to make sense of. It didn't even give the name of the person wanting the contacts. BEWARE. NOT LOOKING OUT FOR THE PATIENT

Hubble contacts verification attempt. (Telemarketer) reported by

This company picked a random extension in our office and left a message trying to verify a contact lens prescription. They left no patient information and the message was mostly garbbled and impossible to understand. We have left messages for a call back, but have received no response. Hubble is not acting in the best interest of the contact lens wearers. BUYER BEWARE!!!

scam (Robocall) reported by

We get a phone from this "SO called Paul Rogers" at least 10 times per week. The recording is unclear, names are muffled and the type of contact is never stated clearly. I have instructed my employees to refuse verification. They have gone as far as waiting until we are closed and leaving a voice mail! They are now calling from random phone numbers or saying they are from Vision Pass and they need to verify a prescription. I have no idea how they are in business. We have faxed and called repeatedly with no call back!!!!

Contact Lens Verification (Robocall) reported by

Its a contact lens verification department with Hubble Contacts. They sell only one brand of contacts, St. Shine. They honestly don't care if anyone listens to the message or not, and they don't want a response (especially if the response is that the order is incorrect). They do not include reference numbers and half the time multiple parts of the order are incorrect. They only send out these robocalls to fulfill the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act requirement that they "verify" every order. They have no obligation to listen to responses from the optometrists since any verification that does not receive a reply (even if the replies are simply ignored) is automatically verified after 8 business hours. This "company" is a perfect example of everything wrong with the FCLCA.
