Called for a Tracy with an urgent message (Debt collector) reported by


Missed a call from this number and they left a message. The "important" message was for a Tracy with the same last name as me (married name). The message was from a "Mrs. Osborn" calling from Comenity Bank in regards to "Pink" and left the number 855-334-4198 extension 126-6009 to call her back by the end of today while "there is still time to get this matter resolved". From what I gather it's a credit card offered by Victoria Secret. Since I refuse to shop there, I have no concerns in regards to my own credit safety. It is however concerning someone with my same last name is connected to my phone number somehow, and the debt collectors are reaching out to me to pay their dues.

The only reason I answered was because they spoofed my mother's phone number on my cell phone. Later they called my mother (I have not lived at that address for over 40 years), this is how I got their phone number.

Left multiple messages because I don’t answer, said I need to have this other person, whom I don’t even know, call them back or blah blah blah. No caller ID, but they left this number with a 7 digit extension number for calling back. They should just give up, I won’t be answering there call!

The caller said he was from a company that sounded like "Comedy" He said that Amber needed to call him about a debt. I know no such person. He told me he would remove my number from his list. I'll follow-up if he does call again. He did seem polite.

Unwanted calls from Commenity Bank (Unsolicited call) reported by


I have been receiving calls from Commenity Capital Bank several times a week for the past couple of months. I never answer calls if I don't know who they are. They leave a voicemail every time. I have 10 saved voicemails from them (different person most times). They keep calling for someone that I don't even know. But, leave harassing messages. I would answer if the number would show up the same every time, but it does not. Short of changing my number, I would like for the harassment to stop.

I had several calls from people from a "Comenity Bank" (?) trying to reach my uncle and saying that I was a reference to reach out to him and his wife. They all had the same number 855.334.4198 but different extensions, and all of the names were different. However, all of the messages were talking about some attorney and were ready to take action (?) if he doesn't call them back. It doesn't make any sense because my uncle wouldn't think of putting his niece down as a reference for whatever bank this is.

This happens to me all of the time. When debt collectors can't reach the person they're looking for, they famously lookup everything about them: their relatives, friends, who they live with, etc. and begin harassing everyone remotely connected to them.

Caller displayed 999-111-0001, left a message asking if I have a legal representative, and suggested to me to call back (855) 334-4198 with a 7-digit extension if I don't have legal representation. Very vague on what the issue was, only to say if I don't call back, they will assume I don't have any intention to settle the issue (???what issue???), and will advise the bank (presumably Comenity Bank) to take further action. They had been calling me daily for months with different numbers, either with robo calls or apparently live persons. Have never told me what the real issue was. It definitely is a scam since I don't have anything to do with this bank.

if someone calls you for you to call 844-344-41xx theyare calling from "Comenity Capital Bank". They are calling about your Wayfair online ordering account It is not a scam call ... it is legit!!! They are calling to help you before you go into collections

This is a scam and has nothing to do with Comenity. I have two Comenity Accounts, one through Express and one through West Elm. My express is paid off and I called West Elm Comenity and they said my account was in perfect standing and they have no record of trying to reach me. The lady I spoke to at Comenity told me to ignore the calls, it’s a scam

I get calls several times a days. Never leave message, but called my son's cell phone left message saying he was second contact for me. Urgent I call them. Same day they called my sister who has different last name lives in another part of the state said same thing on their vm as my son but gave a case number. What they are doing is illegal. I have no idea who this company is or why they are calling. I plan to file a complaint with Atty General office.

Called from a completely different number-left a vm stating it was urgent I call back or have my attorney call them directly (no idea why I need an attorney). Stated if I do not have an attorney to call her back asap before they take legal action.

Call ID showed 1-614-754-4060, they left message for (not me, but correct maiden name) stating they had "urgent matter to discuss" and if they did not get call back at 855-334-4198, ext. 1226476, she would be making a "serious decision" for (me.) It is a scam to try to get you to pay off debt using your CREDIT CARDS BUT DO NOT GIVE THEM THAT INFO! Said I could take care of a relative's debt by giving them credit card info. I have no relative by the name they used. Tell them you will have your attorney can call them back. They will probably hang up!

Keep calling my number for my husband. we have not done business we are aware of with this credit card issuer. They do collect for medical debt I believe and dental? Not sure but they are threatening and if they left a less scary message they might actually get a call back. I do not answer unknown calls and most of these places should know that most people don't. And scaring someone surely does not make them call back!! Not sure they are legitimate. Its called Comenity Bank.You can google them and see what credit cards they issue for many places like Victoria secret, bed bath and beyond etc.

Comenity bank and comenity capital banks are two big debt collection agency that spreads worldwide that do collection for most businesses such as lane beauty, Victoria secret ECT. What sense does it makes for people to be using the credit cards and don't want to pay. I have seven store card and whenever I am late to call my phone. You guys need to pay your debts. Kim, Comenity Capital Bank is the bank that administers the accounts for several credit cards, true BUT this number is a SCAM. If you do not receive a letter in the mail stating the intent to collect then the debt collector threats are not legitimate. This number has been hacked and they are trying to pretend to be Comenity Capital. You may want to hold your comments until you understand someones situation.

Called and left message for family member stating urgent critical business. Needed to get back to this person by 8pm. I called back. They asked if I was family member. Stated no. Asked how they got my number. Stated was listed as reference. Wouldnt discuss anything with me. Could i get in touch with them? This is ridiculous. Received voicemail from A collection agency, unnamed, describing an escalating matter, so serious that if not Miss (my mother in-law) called back within 4pm the date of the call, if not the caller would regard the lack of action as not intent to "resolve the very critical status", the caller further threatened to take further action directly affecting Miss (mother-in-law). The caller made it clear that the message read into my voicemail was recorded and would serve as proof of notification. In reality debt collectors have to send a written notification within five days after contacting a debtor on phone. A debt collector is NOT allowed to call relatives of the debtor. Don't recommend communicating with such callers as Mr. "Torreil", the probability of this person being a scam, seems high.
