Fake Synchrony Bank call (Debt collector) reported by


They claim they're Synchrony Bank, but it's obvious they aren't. I only answered once, but afterwards I stopped caring. Once I mentioned phishing, they got really nervous and suddenly had to "tallk to a manager" and disconnected call.

I returned call.. Says call to collect a debt..but asks me SS no off the bat..not knowing what acct referenced to. Suspicious behavior..I mentioned phishing.. the person was nervous.. asked for settlement amounts and after a few offers, I refused. They said what can I offer? Then.. silence They never ask for that.

i keep getting called by this number, it shows up as spam risk on my phone so i don't answer. when i looked it up people are saying its from Synchrony Bank, but when i contacted Synchrony Bank (a process which is fraught with trials and tribulations that'd shake hercules' resolve, btw), they told me the number isn't in their directory.

SCAM... Synchrony Financial Services - This company continues to try and collect on debts they've discharged and sold to a collection agency. Is it what you'd call "double dipping" (or something like that)? Do not answer call!

I don't think it's synchrony at all..their calls show synchrony..not spam risk.
