I have received multiple calls from same person leaving call back numbers 866.267.5445, 866.292.5775, 866.265.5115, 866.270.2332....leaving name Karen Williams 2x's, Karen Jones and Kimberley Baker all leaving same message as stated above about Student Loans which I do not have any

I have gotten this EXACT message as well. I called them back. They ask personal financial information (did not give) and would not answer direct questions. I asked if they are part of the Dept of Education. I was told everyone that works for DoE are contractors and only four people work at DoE. I asked repeatedly. Vague replies. They asked a lot of questions about my current repayment plan and then hassled me when I said I am disabled and can only work part time, so I pay $25 a month. I askes why I should give them my personal information when they won’t identity themselves or answer my questions and just talk over me. CLICK. Twice. They don’t like you asking questions. Voicemail transcript: “Yes this is Helen Williams and um I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan. I need to discuss your repayment options with the changes that have happened recently so if you could just please give me a call back my number is 866-267-5445 and um I'm going to give you a reference number if you would please have this handy when you call back it just makes things a lot easier that reference number is 330304 thank you…” SCAM!!!

Thanks for the details. I got exactly the same thing this month (July, 2019). I was preparing to call them back for clarifications, but not anymore after these reports....

Received the exact same message from “Helen Williams” as reported on this site by TB verbatim. Claimed student loans owed. I also have never had student loans. Did not call back to investigate further as I did not want my number as active on their call list.

Received call from 515-598-7503, which included 866-267-5445 in the message as the call-back number. Call transcript: “Yes this is Helen Williams and um I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan. I need to discuss your repayment options with the changes that have happened recently so if you could just please give me a call back my number is 866-267-5445 and um I'm going to give you a reference number if you would please have this handy when you call back it just makes things a lot easier that reference number is 330304 thank you…” I don't have a student loan, and never did. Checked other sites, and found the same comments from others, including the reference number.

That's the same Reference # she left on my answering machine!! I also have no student loans.
