A guy named "Eliot" offered me a 25 Gb deal and as one person already said I won't give my info over teh phone without seeing a physical copy of contract ... but he said he will call me back .... when I asked for a number or reference number he didnt want to give me anything saying the details are in the system he just needs me to let him know a time for him to call me back. Pretty sure it is a con now that I am off the phone and mad at myself for giving some information away (nothing serious but I'd rather not be giving anything away)

This number calls me repeatedly and if I answer they disconnect the call. If I don't answer, no message is left. I've been a Telus customer for years, and this isn't typical. I get texts/emails that offer new promos, if they call for a legitimate reason they leave a message.

I have gotten a few calls from this number though I feel that it is spoofed. I HATE unsolicited calls and act as such when they call me. I answered and he started to talk. I cut him off immediately and said to take me off their call list and then said goodbye and hung up. If it really was telus then they would know I don't want any more services with them other then my internet as I have stated before and if it wasn't telus then they know to not waste their time with me because I don't entertain unsolicited calls.

Claimed to be from telus offering the new telus smart hub service. Claimed the call was recorded. Wanted my drivers license info and social insurance number to proceed. I declined as im not giving that info out to someone who calls me. I said if i wanted to upgrade id call them. Dont know if its legitmate or not but i did find it odd that they required that information when i already had an account with them. I dont remember if i did give that information when i first called them to set up service.

I'm a Telus internet customer, so they already had all my info, and didn't ask me for anything new, which made me think it was likely a legit sales call. it can be kind of annoying to be called all the time, but they were not trying to steal my info.
