This is a phishing scam of some kind. Caller alleged they were from an "arbitration agency" calling to collect a debt from 2012 stemming from an online loan. No such loan was taken. When I asked for them to send me info, they said they did in 2012 and couldn't again. They also stated I would receive a summons and be arrested if I didn't pay them with a credit card. Caller had a heavy foreign accent.

This is exactly what happened to me. Said that I took out a loan in 2012 which was not true. He also knew where I worked. But I wasn't at my job in 2012 which is how I figured it was a scam. He knew about my old bank too.
