Based upon the time of the call (late at night), the nervous manner in which the caller spoke, and the fact that she right away asked for my date of birth, I knew something was wrong about this call.

They wanted to make me aware of additional services that I wasn't using. No cost involved and it could be helpful, but I think the main reason for the call is so that I will use medical services via phone instead of face to face which is probably more cost effective for the insurance company. That's just a guess though.
