I answered the call and all they said was my name. i asked them who is calling and they wouldn't say, All they said was that the call was being recorded and monitored. i asked again who was calling and i couldnt make out what they were saying at all. and they just kept asking me if i was (my name). i just hung up and they didnt call back.

Collection agency representing Amazon (Debt collector) reported by


I answered as I was expecting a delivery and thought the driver might be needing info. First human (distinctly Indian accent) asked if I was (my first name). I said yes, was informed the call might be recorded for quality control and transferred me to another human (also distinctly Indian) who rattled off the usual script about outstanding account on an Amazon credit card and how would I resolve this problem today. I informed her that they had the wrong (my first name). She assured me they did not. I reminded her that none of them had used my last name and my first name was quite common, and since I had never in my life had an Amazon credit card they had the wrong (my first name). Good bye.
