It sounded just like a scam. I call Desert Financial to report it and it turned out to actually be a third party company they use for fraud detection. My card has been compromised and someone was attempting to use it overnight. So even though it sounds like fraud, it actually is legitimate call

Credit Card Phishing Scam (Scam call) reported by


This is some straight up crap phishing scam. Do NOT call this number or give away any information. Stated I had unauthorized activity on a debit card I have not used in over a month and a half. Also called to 'report' this information to me at 9pm on a Sunday. I WILL be calling my bank now and freezing that card, because some scammer has my account info. There is nothing legit about this number! If in doubt, call the number on the back of your debit/credit card. Never EVER give personal info away to someone who cold calls you.

I did make a purchase to send to a different address, however, when the automated caller announces that it is fraud alert, I didn't catch that it advised the company it represented. That seems odd to me.
