They claimed to be Citicard it was a male, not a robot. He said citi card payment was past due. I would never pay over the phone anyway, and most credit cards to not call people especially after a few days or so late. I quickly notified the caller that I would handle it online and I abruptly hung up. I am not sure what they would have said next, probably request my bank info to pay over the phone. FBI needs to stop these folks. NOW

James T 3 min ago ****+1 (877) 609-5710‬ is most likely not a legitimate caller. They alternatively claim to represent Citi, Citibank, Citi Fist Collections (no such entity), The Home Depot credit card (private label managed by Citi under contrat with THD), etc... they seem to have had access to a fair amount of consumer data they are mining and trying to exploit to defraud consumers. I am an ex-Citibanker and called the bank’s fraud investigation group to provide these details to them to investigate and alert customers. Do not let the fact they have fairly accurate information about you or accounts you may have with Citi or the Home Depot or Macy’s lull you into false sense of trust. They are clever scammers with sharp social engineering skills who will try to convince you they are really with Citi. THEY ARE NOT. My advice is for you to hang up, then call the number on your card and report the attempt fraud. The more Citi hears about this andvthe number the more likely they will notify customers and work with Law Enforcement. Caller: Fake Citigroup Call type: Scam suspicion
