Claimed to be a debt collector. Told me she was collecting on an account from Pinnacle Bank. I told her I didn't have an account with Pinnacle Bank. She asked if the last four digits of my social security number were xbox. They were. She then told me I owed $34,000 on an account from Pinnacle Bank that went into collections June 2020. (I have my credit reports from September 2020, with no collections on any of them). Again, I told her that I never had an account with Pinnacle Bank. She replied, oh it must be fraud then. And told me I'd have to file a police report with my account number, and.... I interrupted her and asked how do I file a police report with an account number I don't have? She said, oh I'll give it to you. Then she told me I'd have to send in a copy of the police report along with a bunch of personal information (social security number, etc) and she would take care of everything. Hung up and immediately called my bank's identity theft department. They told me it was a scam. Rechecked all my credit reports. No collections on any of them. Have placed identity theft alerts with all credit reporting agencies and blocked this number. Don't get scammed by these jerks

Talked way to fast and demanding money. I have a family member who is in volved in a scam and this could be related. The scamers are out and about... be aware !!!!

I answered once, because the number was similar to another legit number. "This is a debt collector" in a robot voice, and I hung up. I have this number blocked, but I still get notified that they call.
