In my case this was legit. Clearly this is a 50/50 so perhaps Chase has a spoofing issue. I just phoned back using 1 800 935 9935 and they could tell me that I was called. IMO, just don't answer calls from a bank and phone them back on a different number and they will put you through.

I received a voice mail from 1-877-691-8086 stating they were from Chase Fraud and wanted to confirm some bank activity. I am aware of scammers so I confirmed that this was a legit Chase number on the secure Chase site that I logged into. I found the following with searching - You asked: "fraud". "If you suspect fraud on your account, call us immediately at 1-877-691-8086" I called and after an hour on hold I talked with a live representative who confirmed who I was and what the activity was. He said that it was now confirmed. The problem is a day later I still do not see the confirmation. The customer service of Chase is less than adequate but that is a different issue.

it was a call from (888)373-7969. A women said she is from chase frauds calling to verify some activity account on your account. and retuned call them back 877-691-8086 THIS IS A SCAM CALL! DONT ANSWER THIS CALL!! DONT CALL THESE NUMBERS!!! DONT SHARE YOUR INFORMATION AND BANK CARD INFORMATIONS!!!!

I've got a letter on Chase Bank with the notification that there was an attempt to withdraw $30000 from my bank account and the request to call to the number (877)691-8086. I called them waiting an operator up to 37 minutes and hung up, but both the latter and calling system looking and sounding like real Chase. So IDK
