Missed a call from this number. Called back and an autoresponder picked up and informed me I had contacted the CBE group, that the call may be recorded and monitored and that I was being transferred to a representative. Hung up before I got connected to a person. Read the information above and will not return calls to this number. It was unsolicited and sounds like they are scouring old public business records to try and scam individuals for $$$.

CBE has tried to call multiple times, they do not leave messages. I talked to one lady and told her she needed to talk to my lawyer and or CPA. I gave her the numbers. The CPA has asked her to verify certain information which she was unable to do so CPA would not give her anymore. I had done everything legally and paid all debt agreed on many years ago. Also, I went to the IRS site today onto my account and I owe nothing. Check your accounts yourself I recommend.

A professionally speaking woman knew specific things about my company such as the name, and the owners. Just enough to keep me on the phone. Yet, she would not answer any details such as which specific property was she was referring to. She gave me an EIN number of my company. I have no idea what that means. She said I owed the IRS. She said her name was Melissa Cesar. It seemed legit, but the IRS doesn't come-a-calling. SCAM.

Asked for owner for family company we closed in 2014. After, blah, blah, blah he said they were a company the IRS had hired to collect unpaid taxes. I told him he was full of sh**. We Don't own any $$$$. He was very well spoken and sounded convincing. BEWARE!!!!!!

Had a call from this number from a business that I owned 8 years ago. They asked if I had received anything in the mail. They were sending it to an address that I have not lived at in over 8 years. They stated that I needed to submit a 8822B form with the IRS to get my business address changed to my current one. Once that happens they would send me out a letter and we could proceed. They put my account on hold for 30 days in order to do all of this. I asked for the callers name and address and company to make sure it wasn't a scam. He gave it all to me, with the company name of CBE. I called this company directly after speaking to the gentleman, and wanted to verify that it was legit. They did confirm that I had an account with them and that it was put on hold for 30 days to get my address changed. It seems legit. But then I read all these comments about it being a scam, so I'm conflicted.

A woman called pretending to work for the IRS, asking for the owner of a business that was closed many years ago. Would not give any other information. When I said IRS never makes phone calls, she changed her story saying that she was calling from a company that handles certain matters for the IRS. Lies! Hanged up.
