Claiming to be Amazon customer service so they can obtain your credit/debit card number. The scammers have spoofed an actual Amazon number. Amazon nor any other company will call you asking for such information!

A computerized message claiming that a charge of $749 was placed on my Amazon account for an iPhone. The problem here is, I don't have a charge account with Amazon.

They claim to be Amazon, but they are not. They tell you have a large charge on your account. Then to verify who you are, they ask your for your amazon username and password so they can access your records. If they were Amazon, they would have access to my records.
