Just got the call today as well. says someone tried to charge IPhone same as most of he others say. Checked Amazon account nothing there. Ironically as I am writing this, got another call that came up as FedEx which I am waiting for but that one is same recording but this says someone is accessing my apple cloud! Another scam....

They try to tell you that someone tried to buy an iPhone on you amazon account. Amazon doesn’t contact people this way as I doubled checked with Amazon by me contacting them. Also there is nothing suspicious on my account like this caller said. All a scam!

sounds innocent enough when it says your Amazon account may have an unauthorized purchase of an expensive iPhone. Check my account and no such purchase. Also checked my credit card and no such purchase.

I just had the same call. It's a fraud but a good one. When you search the number, it even turns up a fake article seem to say that is legitimate Amazon number. What a scam. I wish they would get a real job.

Although this is the real phone number to Amazon, like any other company, spoofing caller ID is one of the many ways scammers trick people. Rule of thumb: don’t give information over the phone if they call you. If they ask you to call back at a different number, don’t. If they ask you to wait on the line to talk to a service rep, or to push a specific number to be forwarded to a service rep, don’t. If you do have an account with the company that the caller claims to represent, use the official phone number or website to confirm whether the message is real or not.

Same call as several others here saying a $750+ charge had been made on my account. I checked my Amazon account and credit card. None such activity on either. Note: it was the Amazon customer service number, though I assume it'd been hijacked by scammers.

The call said it was from Amazon, and was confirming an $700+ iPhone purchase. I contacted Amazon, and the Customer Service Rep said there was no order for an iPhone on my account.

T-Mobile caller ID service identified number as Amazon. Robocall voice says they detected "suspicious" activity on my account and there was an "unauthorized" purchase of a $999 iPhone. Then they give me the opportunity to press 1 cancel the purchase they already identified as "unauthorized" or to speak with an "executive". I do have an Amazon account but I verified it has not been hacked. Since other reviewers got this same call and don't have an Amazon account, this is an obvious scam!
