Long CON scam (Scam call) reported by avoid-scammers
This was the most elaborate scam I've ever seen. First I was receiving random voice calls from different numbers asking if my name was XXX and if I said yes, they would hang up. Then person with the same voice would call me again and offer some weird service. And lastly I got a phone call from this number telling me that I have some pending transaction and I need to confirm it.

Spoofed Call, Shows as TD Bank but it's NOT (Scam call) reported by Gina G
Got a call from this number and my caller I'd showed as Td Bank so I answered and it was a recording saying that fraudulent activity was detected in my account with a purchase of $145 in Best Buy, it then said to press #2 if I didn't recognize the transaction, so I clicked 2 and the call got transferred to a person. He greeted me with a very educated tone and continued with the story about the fraudulent activity and asked me to verify my identity for security purposes so that he could give me more info and cancel my card to mail a new one. I googled the phone number and it does show it's TD Bank, it even is on the back of my Debit card as the customer service number, do I did give him the info he asked, he then wanted me to read him a code that I got through text from TD Bank. So what he was doing was changing my online banking password by me giving him my user ID and last 4 of my social, which he successfully did and that is how he got to read my account activity. He then wanted me to click yes in another text and that is when I realized it was a scam and hung up. He got to transfer money between my accounts and tried to zelle all the money to himself. Be careful!!! If your bank calls you for any reason, call them back yourself to verify it is legit.

Unsolicited call from a spoofed number. (Scam call) reported by Fred
Unsolicited call from a spoofed number claiming to be TD Bank. Wanted to talk to me about a home equity application that I completed. (I am not currently a home owner.) Caller left message with a return number with a Maine area code (207) instead of a local TD Bank branch number. Did not call back.

They claim they were the fraud department of my bank, (Scam call) reported by Troy D
They first text me and say they are the fraud department of my bank. TD Bank. They then call and had some minor info on me. After getting my username and last 4 of my social, then I get a test to auth a Zelle payment which he told me would come through and then told me to hit yes, and that would say I am not authorizing, only when I got the text that sounded stupid to me, it seems more like if I hit yes I would be authorizing the payment instead So I told him this because the name on the text was different from the initial supposedly fraud text. then he hung up on me.

Same thing happened to me yesterday, I googled the number he was calling me from and when I saw it was from TD bank I then proceeded to verify my info to supposedly cancel my card which had the fraudulent activity, then I realized it was a scam when he told me to click yes on a text. He did get to transfer money between my linked accounts but thankfully did not get to zelle it to himself since I didn't click yes nor continued the conversation. I cancelled my accounts and opened a new one.

Scam call for fraudulent activity (Scam call) reported by TB
Same experience as many written above. They call and talk fast and sound seriously legit. But I had my doubts. They knew some info about me and I stupidly gave them my last 4 of social before I realized I definitely was being scammed. They were able to change my password on my online account:(They called from this number and also a “No called ID” number repeatedly harassing me. I called the real TD bank number and they informed me that the fraud department will never call from the number on the back of your card. All my accounts were put on hold and I had to get completely new routing numbers from the branch. Disaster.

Fraud Scam (Scam call) reported by Cal
I was looking up the number to see who was calling me from an 888 number n the middle of the night but , my computer was running slow so it hadn't loaded before I gave the guy my last 4 SS numbers . He talks really fast and it's a constant barrage so , it's hard to think , which I'm sure is the point . When I told him I looked it up and would just go to my local branch in the morning because of the reviews I was seeing , the guy actually admitted that if I had given him the rest of the information he would have scammed me and taken all my money . In those words , even . It could have been funny if it wasn't a real thing .
