Caller claimed to Camillia to be making an important call from Regions Bank, gave business hours, a return number, and a "self-service" portal at selfservice.region.com to make it sound official. It sounded real, but I wanted to check before responding. Glad that I checked first.

Called about a Loan. Asked for my info. I don't have a loan w Reg (Debt collector) reported by


I answered. Then it was manually switched from bot to a person. The person was, at most, cordial. Claimed I owed "them", Regions Bank, a few hundred dollars. Then asked for my address. Which, I very stupidly gave, before the realization kicked in, that this could be fraud. I then hung up. Called my personal branch and was told not to answer that call in the future. And not to give anymore personal information out.

The bank does an automated Robo Call, it's automated by the system when you have a loan with them and they don't receive the payment on or before the due date. It is automated but quickly connects you to a representative.

The few times I answered they wanted me to verify personal info. If it's a debt collector I asked them to give me the info they have and I can verify that way. They hang up call back within 20 minutes. If it's valid they keep calling while i'm at work nobody will get paid I will be looking for a job....

My mother has received several calls from this number. they won’t her social security number, tried to verify address and wants her to send $7000 or she will be prosecuted. She went to her regions bank and they got this I nfos. Sounds like it’s been going on since 2011. what’s the deal with this. it has freaked her out ...... she’s an old lady !
