Service Canada doesn't call you to tell you your SIN is suspended. The caller said it was from the Treasury Department, even worse. They hung up after giving me the option to talk to an agent.

Just got a call from 800-206-70xx. "Your SIN has been suspended. Press 1" So I did for giggles and laughs. Lady with a slightly Asian accent answers, "Service Desk." I said;"This is the ####### Police Service. How can I help you?" She likely got a friction burn pressing the hang up key!

I've received repeated phone calls from this number 1-800-206-72xx in the last several days. Same message with SIN being suspended etc.Ignored them totally. Today, I received the same message calls from another number 1-800-206-72xx. Same scam. Best to BLOCK all these numbers!

I received the exact (roboCall) It actually made me laugh. I hung up...they called me every day for 4 days! I'm praying no one gets sucked in by this!. Remember people...Just hang up...then research the number, in this case I googled the number and found this page! Remember to spread the word of anything you know is a scan.Together we can help put these lazy * scammers where they belong...In jail!

called and said my SIN was suspended. Service canada ( nor gov't of any kind) will never suspend your SIN nor threaten to arrest you, especially by robocalls Do not give out that info unless you are 100% sure who you are talking with. Verify the caller always.

I answered this number to get an automated message advising me that there was suspicious activity to do with my SIN. I pressed "1" to speak to the "agent" and a male voice (with a very slight accent) answered with "Service Canada". I told him of the automated message and he asked for my name to "check my file". I told him I thought it was a scam and he hung up. SCAM!!
