made a payment 3 weeks ago, another payment not due. company turned off my internet. I work from home, so this is a huge problem and they do this consistently. when I called they did not require a payment to turn my service back on and told me how lucky I was to qualify for a"deferred payment 10 days from now." correct. that would be about the time the payment is actually due. then they turned my service on in 5 minutes. they do this every month. this has been going on for three or four months now. I don't know if the local office has come under New Management or what the deal is but the federal government should step in and investigate this thinly veiled extortion of the clientele. companies should not be able to turn off your service when you don't owe them money!

Claimed he was with Comcast and he was running a scam by lying about computer being under attack either by the Russians or Nigerians. He claimed his name was Mike Roberts but he spoke with a heavy Indian accent. He told the person to go out and buy an expensive Cisco box so your computer won't get hacked anymore. He works with a female computer tech for Comcast. Her name is Rebecca Denver and she will come to your house via service call to install your Cisco box, and tells you to buy the item, save your receipt so Rebecca can reimburse you with a check when she goes to your house on the service call. Don't fall for this fraud!

Telling me about a virus that has been downloaded to my computer (Scam call) reported by


Foreign person telling me that there has been a virus download to my computer. I don’t even use a computer on my account.

Got 3 calls from this number. On the third call I answered. Man with a heavy accent asked for woman in house who uses computer. He said they were from Comcast and following up on an FBI investigation into computer hacking. I asked for his employee badge number. After a period of silence I said you sound like a crook. He hung up. I then called Comcast and they verified that they would NEVER contact a customer with this type of information and would only follow up with a customer who initiated a call about a technical issue or setting up a visit. Comcast agreed that this was likely a phishing call and logged it into their database.
