SCAM (Robocall) reported by

ROBO CALLER TOLD ME A PURCHASE "APPLE" $1350 SOME ITEM. I DON'T PURCHASE ANY ITEMS FROM "APPLE STORE". THEY SAY "YES" OR "NO", I just hung up the phone. I called Chase Bank and confirmed that there was no such transaction. If you google it, you will find that it is Chase Bank, but this is a bit strange. I can't trust this phone number.

Yikes

The same exact thing just happen to us!

Chris

They have cloned that phone number. These scammers are getting more and more sophisticated. Chase does not randomly just call you about charges direct ever.

SCAM -Tried to have me "fix" my Chase wiring settings (Financial services) reported by

This number called me a couple of times. I left a meeting to pick it up and it was "Chase" letting me know that there is a fraud alert on my account and that someone in Houston was attempting to wire $8500 from my account. Also that another $1800 charge was made. I asked him to verify that he was with Chase and he was able to confirm my address and my birthdate. He asked me to log in on the app and enter a code within my wire settings that they emailed. He couldn't tell me which of my accounts was on alert so I called Chase on my other phone. The real Chase confirmed that there was NO fraud alert outstanding on my account and that NOBODY from Chase was trying to get ahold of me. I promptly hung up the other line.

Similar experience. Was texted about a $2500 attempt to Zelle $$ from my account, with a "was this you, reply with YES/NO, which I replied NO and then received a call from this number. Everything seemed really official, EXCEPT, the guy told me of 3 charges, not once mentioning the $2500 and when I asked why he didn't say the amount I was texted, he replied that the charges totalled ABOUT $2500. That was my red flag. Banks are accurate to the penny. I told him something felt off and I would call Chase back directly, to which he responded with his name, badge # and this same phone # and I said it didn't feel right and I would call back and he hung up on me. I immediately called Chase and there was never a Zelle attempt or any fraudulent charges. This was a SCAM!

They said they were from CHASE FRAUD Department (Scam call) reported by

they said that it was from the CHASE Fraud department checking on a $649 charge. I dont have a chase account

It's not a scam number. If you don't have a Chase account, it could be that your personal information was stolen and a credit card opened in your name. I would think if you don't have an account you would want to know if someone opened one and is trying to make a large purchase in your name. Even if you are someone who is very careful with sharing your personal info it can still be stolen. Equifax credit bureau had a data breach. Someone got 2 of my credit card numbers and was making purchases.

It showed callerID of JPMorgan Chase. (Scam call) reported by

I don’t have an account with them, so I let it go to VM. The VM was a message asking me to Press 1 if I did not authorize a transaction on my Coinbase account. I don’t have a Coinbase account.

It's possible your info was stolen and someone opened one in your name. If you get a call like this it wouldn't harm you in any way to press one if you did not have an account or did not authorize a transaction. Just make sure you don't give someone calling you ANY of your personal info that they can use to commit fraud. Don't even verify it if someone is telling you your info and asking you to verify it. They could be making sure they have all the info correct that they need to commit fraud in your name.

Tape machine telling me I have suspicious things things going on on my coin account account coin debt dictate I need to count I don't know what they said it's a tape machine you don't talk anything on your you're and on your your stocks or anything like that on a phone to a tape machine

That's right don't give them or verify any of your information. Just say no it was not me that made a transaction or no I don't have an account. If it is a real fraud department a simple no is all they need to hear. They will work the case to see if someone is trying to commit fraud on your account and will never ask you to give them or verify any of your information.

fraud email (Telemarketer) reported by

Received an email from Chase with a change in my social security number and if I did not authorize, to call this number. When I called Chase to confirm, they verified that it was a fraud, that they were aware, and had received numerous reports.

I received the same email about a change in my social security number, which I never made. I didn't even bother to the legit Chase bank, since those scammers are getting very obvious. All official messages of Chase Bank close as: *2022 JPMorgan Chase & Co.* The scammer email ended as: *2015 JPMorgan Chase & Co.* Don't call the 1800-935-9955 THEY ARE SCAMMERS

Their goal was to take over my zellle email ro phone number (Scam call) reported by

They wanted to take over my zelle email or phone number and then have me transfer money "to myself" lol, which would then go to the email address or phone number they took control of. I kept them on the line as long as I could until we couldn't go any farther, then I let them know I had control of my email and phone, I knew they were a scammer and I was out of time. Click.
