They left me a voice mail this morning that they could not complete a payment and to call them back at 844-247-6290. I went on line and my acct does not have a balance. They are trying to steal your bank or CC information.

I did not answer the call, but received a voicemail regarding a "payment issue" with my most recent payment. It seemed legit, as the automated voice sounded like one that Spectrum uses. I went on-line to check my account, as I had made the mist recent payment about 2 weeks prior. Spectrum showed my balance as $0, as my next billing cycle doesn't end for another week or 2. Also, verified with my bank that the last payment did go through. Not a legit call if they are saying there is a payment issue when it was already paid and cleared weeks prior.

While I know this to be a call from spectrum regarding a payment I needed to make, I urge anyone who gets a call from this number to check their account balance online before paying. Scammers can spoof the numbers of legitimate businesses, and then pose as representatives of those companies when you answer.

Automated message claiming to be Spectrum calling about a recent payment/issue. I checked my account online. All payments have been successful. Wanting you to call back in 24hrs is a sign it's a scam trying to evoke a feeling of urgency.
