Keep in mind the + sign in front of the number (Scam call) reported by Rich
Caller ID was spoofed to be similar to Telus's (just keep an eye out and block the number if it starts with +866). They immediately jumped into their script about offering a free Samsung phone or some special plan, so I hung up and blocked. Telus does not use these call-out advertisements.

They said that these people are trying to scam people and they have the ability to Manipulate the Caller id
Id be extremely cautious when taking calls.

This happened to me today, they called from +18665582273 although I gave my address, full name but I didn't share any financial or private information, They are definitely a SCAM!!

Even once I got same call from Same nun , luckily I was not able to talk to her for a long time , I sadi her to call next day and next day I got 10 missed calls from same hun then I searched it and found this. Thanks for sharing. Will block this number right away.

SCAM using Telus Caller ID Beware!!!! (Scam call) reported by Anthony
I was contacted by a number who informed me they were calling from Telus. I told them i didnt believe it was telus and i wouldn't give out my privet information unless they can show me their promotion online. They called back the next day on a line that had the Caller ID saying Telus. i told them to call back next week. They called back around 10 times through out the week but i ignored the calls as i wasnt ready to sit down and listen to their offerings. Today they called me, same caller ID. He offered me something that wasn't the same as the original deal. He offered me $55 per month 20 G data and a S22Ultra for a promotional offer of $0 upfront cost and then promotional $30 per month usually $45 I said i wasnt prepared to pay more for a phone He then said okay well we will throw in the phone for free with 0 ongoing costs and we will reduce the bill to $45 for the same promotions as the $55 plan I tried to clarify everything with him and its almost like he tried talking over me and was getting frustrated with me for asking questions. I told him that it didnt sound right for them to just Throw in the phone for free AND offer me $45 per month for 20 G data. I said i want everything in writing and in an email before i will say yes to everything. but if it is true then i will agree as its a great deal. He then said he would draw up a special contract and send it to me, he got my Email address and said he will call me back 15 minutes after sending it. I called Telus directly and Telus said that its a SCAM call. He said that these people have the ability to manipulate the caller ID. The caller id Said Telus United states That alone is terrifying. i usually have a pretty good nose for these Scam type things but this one literally almost slipped by me. Im assuming i will expect more calls from this guy John Michael he said his name was....

One Indian (from India) guy called me tried to trick me with very attractive TELUS Cell phone deal. I request an email confirmation. From email I confirmed that he was fraud. DO NOT PROVIDE your credit card info or SIN number. You will be surprise to know that you haven't paid the interest of new line of credit of $25,000, even you don't know what is LOC.

Deap accent man asked if I wanted a discount on my telus services so I asked him to confirm my details all addresses he told me were absolutely incorrect then he tried to proceed to offer me to upgrade my cell phone so when he was unable to provide me with my correct address I had a call on my other phone when I said I would call back he said he was in Vancouver BC and provided a BC number not a 888 or 800 number this is absolutely fraud
