Several different reviews on this, first time was a. debt collector, collecting on an account, they refused to mention until I gave them my ssn, so I told them that I don't have to give them any information until I know what they are calling about. They hung up and called back about 2 hours later this time I put them on hold, called my local police department on what I should so because this is about the millionth time they called. The police came on a group call with me, stated who they were and what the call was about, immediately hung up. Called back the next day, this time from a different number and same stuff. So today they called on this number, I answered and same stuff different day. All I can get out of them that they are supposedly a debt collector, even though the person on the phone will not give me a FEIN to lookup to prove that they are a real company, they refuse to give me any information that proves they are who they say they are. Only want my SSN.

I have made all my (mother's acct) payments in a timely manner, yet they still call multiple times a day. I've got arrangements made on paper and haven't missed, so I just ignore them.

This is a collection agency: Midland Credit Management. This is no scam. You owe. They track you down.

FL State Attorney

Debt collector or not, their practices and methods are in direct violation with Federal Law and compounded action during the pandemic. Midland Funding and Portfolio Recovery are in their 4 class Action lawsuit. This now applies to the corporation and each representative that exhibits harassment. As calls are recorded by the collective companies, we urge all citizens to do the same when speaking to them.
