Fake Collection Scam (Debt collector) reported by


Called my daughter’s cell phone claiming to be with a collection agency. Said she has a four year old debt with TJ Maxx. Asked for her social security number or he would send police to arrest her. She hung up on him and a few minutes later he called back claiming to be with the IRS and told her that police are going to show up and arrest her if she didn’t give him her social. She hung up again. My daughter is a teenager who has never been to a TJ Maxx store. I really wish these people could be caught. Scares me to think of all the people who possibly fall for these criminal schemes.

DO NOT ANSWER CALL OR ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS IF YOU DO! ONCE YOU ANSWER AND VERIFY ANY INFORMATION THEY CAN REOPEN THE NEGATIVE ON YOUR CREDIT! This is a "scavenger collection agency" that tries to collect old medical debts (regardless of legitimacy) ... They typically call as debts are challenged, or about to be removed from your credit (7 years) ... -TS

People did someone answer this number? I had few missed calls from this one, probably some call centre robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. I was trying to dig some info on the internet, don't want to call them back until I know who might be calling but no luck. Some idea who is it?

I believe it is Midland Medical Billing office.

Had three missed calls from this number today - in the span of 2 hours. I picked up the latter two calls. On the 2nd call, the caller said something unintelligible and hung up. The third call just disconnected. Tired of all the call spam.
