This was a robocall stating to stay on the line for Comcast. Everywhere I've read says the same thing...scam, stating they are from Comcast. Makes perfect sense, since I don't have a balance according to the real Comcast. lol

this is Xfinity/Comcast collections. I moved out of their service area and called to settle my balance after being on equal billing for 10yrs. I had almost a $500 balance and was thankful when they said I could stay on my payment plan of equal billing amounts until the balance was paid off. The next month I got an email saying they were charging my bank acct with the full balance, which would've over drawn my acct so I had to pay bank to put a stop payment. Now I get numerous calls a day from this number. FYI the "should I answer" app is amazing at keeping these auto calls from bogging down my voicemail... I will settle the remainder of this bill when I get to the end of my priority list, Comcast has fallen to the bottom after what they pulled. I don't have time to deal with them a third time right now...

Was called multiple times by this number, answered once and received static but could make out someone mentioning Comcast. I hung up due to the lousy connection n as it seemed suspicious. I continued to receive more calls, at all times of the day/night. Never once was a voicemail left. Called Comcast who confirmed their numbers and that a voicemail would be left in absence of reply. Furthermore, all of my bills are paid and up-to-date. When I asked Comcast about the scam, the agent said they couldn't help at all, and to call the police. Rather disappointing reply from Customer Service, as one would expect a company tp be concerned about scammers trolling their clients...In any case, this is NOT Comcast. Be careful!

This is a scam, and definitely not Comcast. They call people who have moved, claiming they owe Comcast money. If you have any doubts, call Comcast/Xfinity directly, do not give information to someone who calls you. Seriously, look at the comments claiming this is Comcast, they are all in broken english. Do you really believe a large American corporation would have non-english speakers write obnoxious comments on an anonymous forum?

I called this number back and they claimed to be Comcast collections. However, they would not give me enough assurance they were actually Comcast. So, I called Comcast's main number and talked to the billing department. There is no balance on my account. The guy from the billing said an automated message from Comcast would be left on a voicemail if they were to actually call to collect.

Interesting way to comment and respond. No wonder Comcast CS ratings are in the toilet. By the way, being an operations manager of a CS center if I had found an employee responding on behalf of the company without prior knowledge and with this type of response I am sure we would be having a discussion about it. Try bringing this forum up to someone who has the authority and correct demeanor to respond to a customer complaint or concern regarding the validity of one of your numbers.

I try blocking the call but they called 4 times in a row and don't leave a voicemail.

I made payment arrangement for my balance when I moved out of Srvc area. The following month Comcast nearly overdrew my bank acct with the full amt. Had to pay bank to put a stop payment on Comcast taking liberties with my $$

Got my mother started on their home phone service and the box they gave me lasted about a week. My mother is on oxygen full time and can NOT be without a phone. Called them and Messaged them with the problem and they sent someone out and said it was working. Told my mother she was better off getting a cell phone than to depend on a house phone. I am sorry she is elderly and has never liked a cell phone and if you get no dial tone cant call someone or them call you I would say something is wrong with the box and/or service. We turned the box in and called sprint and have had a phone ever since with no trouble. Comcast bill would have been over 50 a month, Sprint 15. And once they have your number they will call 15 times a day even after you shut their crap off and tell them it is crap!!
