They said they were with Verizon and that someone was trying to open an account with Verizon with my SS#. Turns out they changed the password on my account as I gave them my zip code and it took several hours for me to get back in my account. I will probably have to change my phone number which I have had for many years as the people can go back into my account and change my password again.

Verizon cus. serv. found no fraud/unauthorized purchases on account& if it was compromised, i would've received text/call/VM to call back ASAP.This # is getting spoofed even tho it's basically valid.It doesn't work well or even have a live agent anyways, and kicks you out when you proceed on the menu with"Thank you for calling Verizon".It's a lousy working valid Verizon Fraud Department #. Too bad no one answers it-it's not an easy fix for someone trying to find out how to fix any fraudulent issues.Maybe Verizon doesn't have regulation protections to help you. Call Corporate HQ in NY or Operational HQ in NJ instead for answers.
