The caller said we won $9000.00 "from the government" for being in "good standing with the government"! 1. We are not in good standing because we still owe & are on a payment plan because of health reasons & 2. Our "government" isn't "giving" away anything!!! The guy gave me another number to call 206-451-5155 & said that was the "transaction officers number". He said call him & give him this " gran or gram ID #ml714 & we would have the money in 15-20 minutes tops! RIDICULOUS! Lord I hope people don't fall for this. Maybe this review will help you too! God bless & don't give anybody your hard earned money... especially over the phone! Just remember... if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!!! Don't be a victim!

Offering financial aid from the gov (Telemarketer) reported by


I am expecting financial aid so at first I was like okay. When I called the number back they said that I was selected for financial aid of 9000 (which is what I am expecting for financial aid) but they said I was selected for good financial standing with the government and paying my bills and asked if this sounded right to me. He then asked me to verify my name, which is Alexandra Williams, very simple. He asks me to spell it and has trouble understanding what I was spelling. Then he proceeds to ask for how I want to receive my money, on a card or through Wal-Mart or other financial services. There was no other identification that he asked for and it seemed a bit fishy so I ended the call politely. Hopefully this is helpful to others.
