CBV Collections scam (Silent call) reported by


CBV Collections is running a scam along with a law firm called Saadi Law (both in Toronto). They phone and send letters demanding payment for fraudulent debts. They also use SIN numbers to put fake entries on the victim's credit report. If you have had contact with these people, please report them to the RCMP.

They call me all the time. Sometimes multiple times in a day. If I don't answer hey leave a silent voicemail. If I do answer they usually hang up right away. Today when I answered I heard a really creepy amount of heavy breathing coming from a man for about 3 seconds before he hung up.

Wanted a proof of my late mom's Death Certificate. Very emotional (Debt collector) reported by


I picked the call and the caller hanged up. I called back and the person asked to talk to my mother, I told her my mom has passed away about 3years ago and she wanted me to provide a Death Certificate. I told her to do it through the court or through whatever means that is legal. It was an emotional call, the memories of my late mom came back and the grieving continues. I don't know what legal action to take to stop these calls.

A debt collector is can only call 3 times in a 7 day period if it is any more than that you can report them and they can be charged with harassment there are rules they need to follow they are not above the law

This person leaves me short silent voicemails. It is quite annoying since I have to take the time to clear them so that I don't miss actual voicemails intended for me. This number is also blocked for me so I do not get a chance to answer the phone when they call.

Despite being blocked on my landline phone, this number (416-491-2419) gets through a few times daily. I suspect the number displayed is not the number being used. CBV collections has been calling me for years, sometimes up to 15 calls per day.

They called yesterday and I answered, nobody spoke to me. I kept saying hello, they hung up. They called again today and I didn’t answer, no message left. I don’t owe anybody anything so if this is a collection agency they have the wrong number.

That is what they say but they are not its from the states they do this so they can pull the scam they are east Indians using a fake number such as a voice over IP type service..... The dirt bags got a huge earful from me the other day... All you have to do is block them with your phone blocking program.... If it continues then report this to the police fraud department... They will get caught and given an earful of fines maybe charged and thrown in Jail after this crisis is over... I don't have anything against the race just people within the culture often try to play us and its pathetic as they shouldn't its the same with Nigeria Ghana and several other countries so poor that they can to commit fraud because they love their cell phone so much
