They said they were from at&t and offer $20 gift card if I answered survey. They could not verify anything about my account without me giving them info so assuming it was a scam. they also just hung up on me when I suggested I was not interested without verification.

The number has called and left an automated message to call back. It proceeds to read your number back to you, also a number which sounds like , but isn't an account number. Upon calling, the automated system directs you to a foreign call center, and they begin by asking for information, name, phone number, etc, which, is suspicious. When I gave them my information, they said there was an overdue balance, and before the call could proceed, I had to make a payment with a credit or debit card. Funny part, is our bill is always paid at least a month ahead of time, and there is never an outstanding balance. The amount they presented was for 200.00 which didn't sound right. Now, this may or may not have been an At&T error, but it isn't a way to gain trust. A letter would be a bit more appropriate, and having asain people asking for money when none is due, sounds really bad.

Claimed to be an AT&T representative. Could barely speak English. Wanted a ton of my information.

It was my impression too, they asked for a bunch of info, which I didn't give, actually fake name, and they needed a payment of 200. to continue the call, visa or Mastercard. I laughed.
