It was an automated message from US Bank about some suspected fraud transactions on my card. After researching the number I called it back. It did not ask me for any information other than to confirm or deny if those transactions were made by me. This was a legit call.

Legit call from Fidelity Card Services for possible fraud transactions. They were mine. No data or information was asked for other than confirming the 3 purchases I had just done online which it described down to the penny and place, all I had to do was press one to confirm the charges were legit.

3rd party company contracted by banks for fraud monitoring (Financial services) reported by


I don't know what the actual company was, but I used Google Call Screening and the robot alerted me to potentially fraudulent charges on a USBank CC. I did not answer, and did not call them back at the number listed. Instead, I looked up the fraud department for USBank and called them back directly. They confirmed that there was a suspicious charge on my card, and we got it cleared up. So, while I don't agree with the general strategy of having an unknown 3rd party company ROBO dialing people to tell them about possible fraud (in other words, calling me in a way that itself exhibits all the usual signs of a fraudulent phishing call), the service appears to be legit, and not spam.

called three times in an hour and a text. Both text and voicemails have different info. Text mentioned my FIDELITY card was used in MICHAELS STORES 9193 on 05/07 asked to validity the transaction. Voicemail talked about "This is from Fraud prevention..."

This is a fraud department for many different credit card companies. They do not identify themselves on a voicemail, only saying they are the fraud department. When you call they still don't identify themselves as they don't know who you are, and which credit card company you are calling about. I called the original credit card and they identified that there was indeed fraud on my card. The whole thing was so funky I cancelled the credit card.
