They just called me Y mother in law right now and said the same thing basically. That she's been an outstanding customer for 35 years without a single late payment (which it's TRUE they've never had a late payment, but my in laws have owned this house 45 years not 35 so that was my first red flag) and then asked for her information. She also said they should have it and they started to argue with her u till she hung up on them.

This is the legit PSE&G 1-800 number, but seeing as I don't have an account with them, and they asked for me by legal name, it's obvious that a scam is being done with Pse&g's caller ID. They are spoofing the 1-800 number to scam people.

Received a call. Caller ID stated it was from PSE&G. I answered the call and a man on the phone with a French accent said it was a warning call to the property owner of my home that a technician was on the way to disconnect the electric to my house. I asked him to confirm the address and he had the full address. I asked him to confirm the account holder. He had my mother's name (which is correct) but he only had my number as the contact phone number. I asked for a reference number or an account number to go with this claim but he did not have one. He only had another number he directed me to call to speak with his supervisor. (1-800-259-4077). Ended up being a scam. Mother called the real PSE&G to clarify.
