Received a call regarding an "unusual" card transaction request. This was likely a call center on behalf of my credit union. I acknowledged that I had made a small pledge (< 10.00 USD) on Kickstarter the night before which was in Euros (that was the flag). They didnt ask for private info nor did I provide anything specific. Not fraudulent.

Contacted my bank. They verified that they did not make this call. They said that there was no suspicious activity on my card.They said that this was likely a fraudulent scam call. So glad I did not answer this person's questions. Always better in situations like this to call the bank directly and ask them versus giving away your information to potential scammers.

Call says they are from the fraud department for my credit union account. I hung up and called my credit union who confirmed that everything was fine. This is nothing but a phishing expedition by scammers and those here that are saying that it's legit are part of the scam. They should all rot in hades.

They did NOT ask for my card #. It was a recording asking me to enter my zip code and then stating my last 3 debit card purchases asking me to press 1 for yes, legitimate...or 2 for no.

They only want your zip code because they have your card number. They need your zip code to make purchases online. It's a scammer never give your info out.

This number called about suspicious charges on my Westconsin Credit Union debit card. I called them back and spoke with a real person asking me to confirm a few charges. They only asked for my name. I called my bank to make sure they were legit. Not a scam.

Claimed to be fraud detection for recent account transactions, but my bank had no record of any such purchases on my debit card, and no knowledge of the phone number it was called in from and it didn't match the number on the back of my card. I have entirely separate fraud detection, so this seems like something to hook in old people and get their bank info.

I received a call from this number saying I had my debit card compromised and they gave me a case number. I was immediately suspicious but there's one thing you need to remember. ALWAYS CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD, NOT THE NUMBER GIVEN TO YOU! I did and it turned out this was a legitimate call.

They call me, I missed the call, found a Voice mail and called it, was suspicious and did not give any info. Called my bank, 1st interstate and they said it was a service they use for possible fraud. Legit number. My bank took care of the possible fraud concern. Was a recurring charge from Macafee. Card was blocked and released after conversation.

I was assuming scam based on all these comments. I did NOT call their number that they put in the text, but rather my own cards number and I expected to be told that this text was from scammers, but actually it appears to be from a certain 3rd party fraud team, which is DUMB. Its dumb because they do a horrible job with their online presence as everyone thinks they are scammers. I would recommend always call the number on the back of your card, never what is in a text.

I hesitantly called the number back and it was legit. It is a fraud alert company checking on recent purchases and whether they were mine or not. They work for several banks, mine being Trustco. They identified some unauthorized charges and added a block to my card. They then provided me with Trustco's number to take care of ordering a new debit card.

Called the number and it was fully automated. They asked what language then the case number I was given when they called me originally. They stated my full name and then asked for the billing zip code on the card by saying the last 4 digits. They then asked about 3 of my last transactions, at random, which included the purchase I recently made that triggered this call. I confirmed them by pressing 1 at each one after hearing the exact charge and the location where I was purchasing from. The automation said there was no more possible hold and hung up. This call came after ~15min of my large holiday purchase at home online.

I see other posts that are very confusing. If this is a legit call, then why in the heck are they calling at 2:45AM??? I'll call my bank in the morning and check it out. Update: I called my bank and this number IS NOT A LEGITIMATE CALL. My bank verified that it was NOT them and my card has NOT been placed on a temporary hold. I suggest that if you receive a call from this number, call your bank and verify it with them personally. These hackers are getting so good at stealing your information and your money!!

This is a legitimate call. Google the # and it will lead to a site (https://www.litchfieldbancorp.com/fraud_protection.php) with this number listed. Secondly, you never talk to a human or robot that asks you for any personal information other than the billing zip code and your name. The robot reads back your last three charges and asks you to verify them (or not) then tells you your card is ok to use (assuming correct charges) There is no attempt to ask for a debit card number or CC number, SSN , phone number, Email, mailing address, etc. I use Golden 1 for reference.
