I did not answer the Seattle based number as i did not recognize it. They said they were Amazon and asked me to call 877-243-2913 back to verify my account information. I also had an email from amazon saying someone had opened another account using my card attached to my real account. They said they cancelled the new account believing it was fraud and to contact them if it was legitimate. This was a fraudulent attempt to use my card and the email was from Amazon not a scam email. I called the Amazon number from the Amazon App. They keep records of all email and phone calls going out or coming in. Amazon did email me but Amazon did NOT call me. This is a scam to get your information. Do NOT answer or call this number. It is 100% NOT AMAZON.

Hate to tell you... you got scammed. I got a call from them immediately after placing an order on Amazon. I did not answer. They left a voicemail. It was hard to understand, but it sounded like they were trying to verify my Amazon account. I contacted Amazon through their online chat and they told me that Amazon will NEVER call to verify purchases or account info. Change your login information asap.

reviews from actual named users are telling me this a scam call from Amazon. convenient because Prime day was yesterday so it wouldn't surprise me. Listen to the reviewers that say "Amazon won't call you to confirm your order." it's true, they won't call you, they'll email you. they'll also email you if there was a problem with your order.

Not Amazon. Called Amazon to tell them, they told me that Amazon NEVER calls to confirm orders. The only call you might ever get is from the delivery driver if they are lost. These scammers are in the system, see you place an order with prime now and then call you to scam you out of personal info. Do not answer. If you are concerned let Amazon know directly.

This is not an Amazon number! Their @AmazonHelp has confirmed this multiple times. There are fake reviews on this site! Do not provide any information. If they call giving you data on any orders you have purchased it means your account has been compromised. Scan your computers with Malwarebytes. I repeat, do not trust any positive reviews on this site!

This review is 100% accurate. Your machine has been compromised. Windows 10 Defender software will not detect it and protect your machine as well as they claim. (as of 08/08/2019)
