Just got the same call but for $866. Spam caller spoofing Amazon's customer service number. I checked my account and no such order appears. I also contacted Amazon who confirmed they did not contact me.

They called me many times leaving robot voicemails, until i read one saying that someone used my account, and to call back. I did and she told me download an app to get me fix this issue and i was so stupid that I was actually trying to do it, she was so inquisitive, every 5 secs she asked what i saw, its downloading? very suspicious! so i told her that i will call her back later, and that is when it was clear that this was a scam. The app give remote access to my phone to whoever she was, stolen all my personal information! I call Amazon (The real one) and I was told that this type of calls are happening very often lately.

Same thing happened to me.. showed as Amazon on caller ID and pre-recorded voice said a charge of $700 + bucks for an iphone on my acct. Hung up the phone and immediately checked my Amazon acct which showed no purchase made.. so had Amazon call me and it indeed was a scam spoofing Amazon's Telephone number.

They will ask you to confirm if you purchased a amazon Prime subscription of 120$. They had me going for a minute, until he asked me to install an application from the play store and then send a confirmation code which would have allowed them access to my phone. Once he asked for the confirmation number, I questioned who he was and how to belive him. He went on to repeat "Trust me,Trust me, Google the phone number that we called you on" FRAUDDDDDDDDD

I just had this happen to me today. Called my cell # but asked for a different person not me. Said someone with a name of Robert was trying to use my Amazon account. Trying to charge $121.00 for the Prime subscription. Luckily my keyboard wasn't working. drop water by accident earlier. kept saying this person had my IPC address. He couldn't tell me what i purchased last. He then wanted me to go to google. He said I had to block this person from my account. He had got me so upset. I went to get our IT at work and then he hung up. Rude , nasty people doing to this !!!! Using the phone number of amazon to do this!!!!

Fake robocall from Amazon. Bogus alert directed me to report suspicious charge by hitting "1", which I did. The indidual who answered said they needed to reverse the charge. I said "OK" and asked him to simply use the same card. When I immediately asked him what are the last four numbers of the account they have on file he promptly hung up. So, it appears this is an elaborate scam that is designed to get people to provide their credit card #. NEVER give your number to anyone who calls you,! Take the call. Hang up and call the customer service number provided on the vendor's Website, not the one left on the message.
