Called saying there was a $735 dollar charge on my wife's amazon account and that they could cancel the charge but since everyone is working from home, I would need to connect to the secure server. Said I would need to install an app to do so. Played along long enough to look at the app. It was Team Viewer Quick Support. I asked why I needed to install an app that gives remote control to someone at Amazon. He said it was because it was the only way to cancel the charges. I demanded to know why again and he said to calm down and just install the app and let them cancel the charges. I told him to go do something that is anatomically impossible and to go scam someone else before I hung up. Do these thieves thing everyone is stupid? These people should be hunted down with every available resource and summarily executed at their computers.

I Called Amazon to check - scam call (Scam call) reported by


I received a call and they left a robo message saying that there were unauthorized charges pending on my Amazon Prime account. They called on my cell and Amazon doesn't have my cell number. I called Amazon and there are no pending charges, unauthorized or otherwise on my account. Amazon says that if you press 1 they get your information in some way.

SPOOFING A REAL AMAZON NUMBER but this is NOT AMAZON calling! Scammer robocall! Beware, DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION, LIKE YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS. Think about it, if it were legitimate, THEY called you about A PROBLEM THEY SUPPOSEDLY IDENTIFIED with your account, so they would not need to ask you for your account information-the real Amazon would already have that.

This number is a REAL Amazon phone number. Scammers have plugged that number into your Caller ID in hope of fooling you to answer. My grandparents got this call too. They are telling you in message that someone with your identity has charged a $799 phone to your account. Further they tell you if this was not you please call them immediately. But the number they ask you to call back is an international number. I am guessing they are fooling you into making this call which will cost you a fortune for just dialing it. Another twist on old scam.
